Finally my BFP

I never thought it would be my turn to post to this board. I'm 7 weeks pregnant! My husband and I started TTC back in 2009. My OB/GYN put me on clomid to regulate my cycle. Clomid did not work for us. It thinned my lining and just caused me to get super depressed. When my husband was tested, it was determined that his morphology was in the low average range. She also started me on Metformin. She said that my bloodwork came back showing that I did not have PCOS. However, she wanted to see the effects. She then referred me to a fertility specialist.

When they did the internal ultrasound, it was determined that my ovaries did show signs of PCOS. They upped my dosage of Metformin. I was switched to Femara. I was fortunate and responded to Femara. The fertility specialist started my husband on several supplements including CoQ10 and L-Carnitine. My husband and I completed 4 rounds of IUI with only Femara. It didn't work. They did the test to check my tubes (fyi: that hurt a lot). The following month they added Gonal F. That month I used Femara, Gonal F and IUI. The Gonal F caused 3 egg follicles to form.

I waited to test until several days after I was due for my period. Previous months I convinced myself that I was pregnant based on all of my symptoms. They really were there. I wish that I could say that there was some definite symptom that made me realize that I was pregnant. There wasn't. I had similar symptoms in other months. The only difference was that these symptoms didn't go away.

This experience was frustrating beyond belief. As I'm sure you ladies know. Hang in there. Stay positive. I was in your shoes for the last 18 months. Good luck!

I'm so happy!

BFP 15dpo, Natural Conception After 15 IUIs, and PCOS

I am 28, boyfriend is 31 and has a 4 year old dd from previous relationship. I am healthy, 5'5" 140lbs.

I'm still in disbelief, and have hounded this website for years. I've struggled to conceive for 3 years with my ex-wife, tried 15 IUIs with DS (8 medicated cycles), and 2 early miscarriages. Recently went through a divorce, and met a wonderful guy. Did not plan on conceiving so soon, but did not prevent it, and just the month when I was not at all thinking about conceiving at all, I end up pregnant!

I know how hard it is to wait for the right time, and until recently, I have not believed my Dad when he tells me "Everything happens for a reason". I've come to realize how true that saying is. As sad as it was for me to go through a divorce and have the struggles of financial distress to pay for my house, refinance, pay off my debt, and sort through a dicey relationship with my ex, I met a really awesome guy in the process and we have similar values, interests, and life goals. Things do happen for a reason, and when they are meant to be. Strangest thing was that a few minutes after bd one day (5 days post finalized divorce) he had a premonition, and a strange feeling that he just got me pregnant. He had never thought that in his life before. And I hadn't thought of a baby in awhile. After he mentioned that, well of course now i was thinking of it.

1-6dpo: Nothing out of the ordinary
7dpo: One blob of thick, opaque cm when wiping. Then again later. Strange, never had this consistency of cm before.
8-10dpo: Nausea spells when going into the chicken coop to collect the eggs. The smell of chicken shit struck me like a bus just hit me, and this never happens. Bfn
11-14dpo: Complete lack of PMS symptoms: no cramping, no sore boobs, except they seem to be getting a little bigger, and no spotting (which i usually get a few days before AF). However, I was overly emotional and moody. All Bfns.
15dpo: AF due yesterday and looking back on the Answer brand pg test I took yesterday, there is totally a faint line there that wasn't there before. After work, BFP on clearblue +/- and BFP on FRER.
16dpo: Slightly darker BFP on FRER
17 dpo: Def darker BFP on clearblue +/-

Still truly in shock, but ecstatic, waiting for HCG results from Dr.

Honestly, every other month that I was TTC i felt like I had more symptoms, and the month I'm not TTC I had recognizable symptoms and lack of PMS symptoms. Hang in there everyone, I feel your pain. Know that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

BFP With IUI and DOR-LOW AMH

Hi ladies! I am writing this in hopes that my baby is a sticky bean! I am 31 years old. My hubby is 29 years old. We have been trying to conceive as ac couple for 2 years. Previous to this, I was in a long term relationship with my high school sweetheart. Needless to say we planned for a baby and sadly I did not get pregnant. Suddenly 5 years into the relationship I became pregnant and my angel went to heaven. Fast forward new man, new life and the same fertility struggle continued. This time I demanded some help. My obgyn thought I had pcps, which was ruled out in august 2013. She referred me to my RE and after all the test were complete, she discovered my amh levels were at .1 I was devastated and depressed. She told me I had a 5 percent chance with IUI and recommended we tried IUI quickly and if it didn't work to plan for IVF. I was so scared. Well in December 2013, had my first IUI medicated with 100 mg of Clomid cd2 to cd6. Clomid helped me produce just ONE matured egg. I didn't use a trigger shot. After my 2ww, AF arrived. I was saddened as I hoped for a christmas miracle. I must admit I googled every "symptom" on earth with my first IUI round. I vowed not to do this with IUI number two and to take it easy. So on my CD3 I was out of the country and my RE informed me she wanted me to take letrazole on CD 2. I was scared because I thought i would not return to the us on time to be seen for my baseline as cd4 would be too late in my head. Long and behold i arrived to NY ON CD3 at around 7:30 am, dropped off my lugged and hopped on the express train, heading towards my RE. I was cleared, no cyst. Began letrozole 5mg from cd3 through cd7. Went in for a scan on cd10 and I had one little follicle measuring at 8mm and two super smaller ones. I was devastated. However, the RE told me not to lose hope and return on cd16. Long and behold i had 4 follies. One was 18 and two were 15 and the 4th was 12. RE told me to trigger and return on cd 18 for IUI. FYI, I have never waited this long to ovulate. Day of IU my RE had a hard time putting in the catheter, took about 7 minutes to find, I have an inverted cervix :shrugs: lol. I felt good about things. Held my hubby's hand, we prayed and said lets relax. I promise you ladies I did not document my symptoms or checked.

However, on cd25 my gramma used vinegar to clean something and I almost died from the scent, it was horrible.

On cd26, my hubby took his sneakers off and his socks smelled so so so so so badly. We had a huge fight about it. I hate bad smells but this new sense of smell makes it worst. I should have known those were signs. lol.

On cd27 my boobs were sensitive and full but thats normal for me.

On CD25 I took a cheapie HPT from 99 cent store and it was negative. I told myself. It will be okay and I truly felt at peace and shrugged it off.

CD29, Something inside me told me to test. I close my eyes, opened one a bit and saw TWO lines on FRER January 29, 2014 is a great day for me!!!!! I couldn't believe it!!!

CD30 BETA showed levels at 100. I was suppose to go in CD31 but I couldn't wait! I will returned in a few days for a second Beta.

Lesson learned, dont stress things, take it easy and pray, pray, pray pray. Trust the power above and leave it all in his hands. Good luck ladies! There is hope for us who have low AMH/Diminished ovarian reserve! 5percent, I beat the odds!!!

BFP After Over 2 Years!!

FINALLY, I get to post my story. YAY!

I feel like this has been a longer journey to this point than I originally anticipated. Tis life, right?

I'm 31, DH is 40, and we've been married for 5 years. No issues other than being overweight. I got off the pill in July 2011 and started tracking my cycles. We officially started trying in November '11. My husband has a very unconventional work schedule (any other oilfield wives out there??). He travels a lot and works very long hours. Trying to get together during the fertile window has been a challenge. During our TTC he has been home and off once since 11/11. The rest of the time I would try and go visit him while he was at work. I used OPKs, checked my cervix, EWCM, and charted. It was so frustrating to take off work, travel 3 hours away from home to visit the hubby, and still not be prego. Month after month. I couldn't always do that consecutively so we were forced to take breaks. We even bought an RV so that I could more easily visit him.

In November we met with a reproductive endocrinologist (who is a dead ringer for Geraldo Rivera) We did the tests, everything came back normal. My husband (and I quote from the nurse) had "spectacular sperm". That is still an on-going joke in our house. Doc suggested due to Hubby's schedule to go ahead and do IUI. We did our first round this month and it was my first time on fertility drugs. We froze hubby's swimmers, as he was working. I took clomid, bravelle, and needed more FSH injections than originally anticipated. I got more shots at the doc's office, it wasn't Bravelle, not sure what it was. I took the trigger on Monday morning, IUI was scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, and per Doc's instructions hubby came in Wednesday AM for some lovin'. I o'd after our rendezvous.

After the IUI, I had cramping for about two days. Doc said that I didn't need to do anything different other than no swimming or hot baths for 24 hrs post IUI. I had to work, travel out of town for a funeral, I jogged, did spinning, and knew without a shadow of doubt that I was NOT pregnant. All of my symptoms were normal for me. I am a spotter and started spotting my normal 7DPO. I felt like my period was coming on and I even sent an email out to the entire family that I wasn't prego after a neg test and spotting. After my period never showed I took a second test. I looked like it was going to be negative so I left it on the counter. A few mins later I picked it up to throw away and low and behold there was a faint line! I took two more today one digital one normal, all are POSITIVE. I cannot believe we got a BFP on our first IUI! Doc had told was we would have an 11% success rate with IUI.

Looking back here is what stood out to me as different, although at the time I blew it off.

A fluke thing, but last week I cracked open an egg to find a double yoke. Some believe this means you will get prego. Never seen one before.

My spotting was lighter than what I typically have. I chalked it up to changes in my diet as I cut out sodas, most caffeine, and started eating less processed and organic foods.

There were a couple incidences with strong smells, but I have a normal strong sense of smell. Blew it off.

For the past week I have not been able to sleep well. I wake up between 2-4 AM unable to go back to sleep. This is NOT normal for me. I guess this is due to progesterone levels.

My boobs felt were sore but not abnormal from PMS until the day of my missed period.

A little more emotional. However, this can be somewhat normal for me. My poor husband.

If you are still reading this loooong post, then I will leave you with this. Have faith in God's timing, it is perfect and we don't understand his will or his plan. John 14:27 was my bible verse of the month.

Please help me eradicate the following sayings from our vocabulary, before I hurt someone:

1. Just relax!
2. It will happen when you least expect it!
3. Have you tried not trying?
4. Some people get pregnant once they adopt.
5. Have you tried tracking?

God Bless and Happy Baby Making!

17 Months TTC, PCOS, Ganolef & IUI - FINALLY PREGNANT!

It's hard to believe that I finally get to tell my story on here. I still don't feel like its real!
I'm 29 with PCOS and have had extremely irregular cycles ever since puberty. Husband is perfectly healthy. Last year we went through 6 unsuccessful fertility treatment cycles. We decided to take a long break from treatments as I was facing some depression from the whole process. We continued to try naturally which just made it worse. If you have PCOS you probably understand how frustrating tracking can be. We finally decided to take November and December completely off and just focus on getting back to a positive mind set. We decided to go back to treatments this month as I was in the most positive mindset I've been in for a very long time. I decided to go into treatments this time around with and open mind and no expectations. The entire two week wait I decided not to obsess and for the first time ever I didn't even look at this site. I kept busy and positive. This month I also did the Paleo 30 day challenge, I cut caffeine completely out, and cut back on alcohol. I actually didn't drink booze at all during the tww. I also switched out my dove deodorant with a natural kind as I heard dove has chemicals in it that causes infertility. Thought heck why not try? I've done everything else might as well go all in this month. Well this morning I decided to take a clear blue digital and holy crap! I had a big fat "PREGNANT" staring back at me! So was not expecting it! I bought a ton of different kinds of tests and all positive!

In terms of symptoms I didn't have many and figured they were all from the progesterone gels anyway. But really I didn't feel anything aside from sensitive breasts until 10 or 11 dpo. Then I kept getting like Charlie horse cramps at my right ovary. Almost like I can't engage those lower abdomen muscles without them spasming. I've also had pretty obvious heartburn the past few days and I never have heartburn. Oh and the hunger kicked in today (13 dpo). The hunger is intense!!!

My advice is to keep an open mind and have no expectations from your ttc journey. I know that must seem impossible, but it wasn't until I felt happy and let go that I got pregnant. I think diet also had a lot to do with it. I feel eating little to no processed foods and cutting out caffeine really helped me and I felt great! Good luck to everyone! I'm just praying that this little guy or gal sticks and looks healthy at the dr visit this week!

BFP After 3 1/2 Years!!!

This is my first post but I promised myself the day I got a BFP I would tell my story. Hopefully it gives those TTC some hope. I have been stalking this site for a year, maybe longer. Long story but here it goes. My husband and I have been trying for a baby for over 3 years. First year we were not trying but not preventing and nothing. My cycles have always been like clockwork and I knew I was ovulating. After another year of trying and tracking I went and got bloodwork, ultrasounds, HSG, etc. All good. My husband has a low grade vericocele and high sperm count but his motility was less than perfect and morphology only at 1%. The doctor said that his high sperm count should over compensate for the poor morphology, So, we tried everything at home to increase our chances: SMEP, Preseed, charting, diet and lifestyle changes, herbal supplements, softcups, etc...Nothing. Over three years of negative pregnancy tests and AF showing her face, I didn't know how much more I could take. Literally, every single friend of mine has gotten pregnant, one of them has even had two babies since our TTC journey has began. Last month, we decided to give IUI a shot. Non medicated. I did not want to take Clomid if I could help it since I was ovulating on my own. I was going to try a few cycles of unmedicated before considering. I had some mild cramping and sore breasts (off and on) the past two weeks. AF due on Valentine's day and something told me to test this morning, I woke up and my breasts were no longer sore so I was pretty sure that was a bad sign. Tested with three different brands, positive on all three. I am over the moon and thanking God, He is great. I go for bloodwork tomorrow and am praying for a healthy pregnancy.

Hi Guys
After reading on this forum and the ups and downs of this whole pregnancy saga , I can seriously tell you that it is by Gods grace how we all here stay sane, that being said I feel the need to post not only because of what happened to me but because I want to give you all hope. I have had three miscarriages one with a heartbeat(2012) but babys heart stopped beating at 8 weeks. Total devastation. Went ahead and kept trying naturally fell pregnant again 3 months later (blighted ovum) felt betrayed ,still didnt give up and fell pregnant 4 months after that with another blighted ovum(this could not possibly happen to one person). The thing with blighted ovums is you have all the pregnancy symptons, nausea , sore breast even food cravings. It seemed cruel and unfair. A Gynae told me that a blighted ovum happens at least once in a persons life for me TWice and in such close succession.
I gave it a break since then and stopped trying , went on a holiday in JAnuary this year and DH and I decided on iui rather spontaneosly in Feb 2014. We went to docs room and he said ovary looked great and its now or never. This was my first cycle on fertomed/clomid as well. The same day we decided because the doctor seemed God sent. The tww wait was excruciating on day 5 I tested- bfn. I vowed not to test again and upset myself. On the 11th day something told me buy the test and on the 12th morning I tested. It was almost an immediate bfp at 12am.DH woke up all blurry eyed and looked at me and said I can see in your face that you are pregnant. Im elated. We are elated.Im praying for a sticky bean this time and that i carry this baby to term. I will not go for another d&c because this baby is going to grow healthy and happy and so will I. No more negativity and no thoughts of it. This is it. Its Gods will and I will receive his blessing in the form of this child. Do not lose hope ladies. I have been under the knife many times - its scary but seeing this bfp makes it all worth it. Anyone who wants to pm me at any time is more than welcome.

After over four years of trying to conceive, the ups and downs, tears and heartbreak, I'm still in shock that I am actually able to share my BFP! Thank God!! Here's my story: Me, 33 yrs old, PCOS, husband 35 yrs old. We share one 13 yr old daughter. So we started ttc naturally in 2010 and no luck. Started fertility treatments with Clomid in 2011 and after the second round with our first round of IUI, we had a BFP April 2011 Surprised at how quickly my body responded but devastatingly MC after 6wks. Took a 6 month break. Fast forward Sep. 2011..2 more rounds of clomid and IUI and unsuccessful..Hubby and I decided to take a break...decided to take some vacations and travel more. 2012..another few clomid/ iui rounds with trigger shot..BFN 2013...decided to not try so hard but not prevent either...focused on my health more by daily juicing and exercise...Nov. 2013-back at clomid/menopur combo and HCH trigger shot with IUI 5 follicles; BFN, Dec 2013-new OBGYN-he said this would be my last round of clomid/menopur and if failed going more aggressive 1 follicle/IUI; BFN Jan 2014- Bravelle injectables daily/ HCG trigger shot/ IUI/ vaginal progesterone medication Feb 8, 14-IUI 10 Post IUI: Major breast fullness and tender, mild cramping, sweet tooth 11 Post IUI: tender breasts, and woke up with really clear watery discharge...almost thought I peed on myself 12 Post IUI: more waterydischarge, tender breasts and more intense ab cramping 13 Post IUI: thicker white discharge, tender breasts, acne, intermittent cramping, find myself more tired than usual 14 Post IUI: tender breasts, int. cramping, unusually tired/ sleepy...I tested this evening know Im supposed to wait 16 days post IUI but I just had a feeling something was different...not even 1minute passed and I resulted positive!!!!!! Never have I laughed and cried so hard at an Addition sign! Husband and I are so happy! Wishing everyone lots of baby dust and to have faith in God and be patient...Your positive will come soon enough!! Praying to God now for a healthy pregnancy <3

BFP 18 Days Post IUI/Ovulation

$

I cannot believe I am writing this, as I have read this board for so long, never thinking I would have my own positive story to share. I just took a test yesterday at 18days post iui after getting a BFN at 11 and 14 days post. I figured I was out. I waited for my period to come as I had period cramps and my boobs were a bit sore but not as much as usual. My period never came. After four days I called the doctor and said they need to give me something to start my period bc it's delayed. I figured they would ask me when the last time I tested so I swiped a pee stick and took it to work with me - then dipped into the bathroom at work, figuring it would be another BFN. I nearly lost my mind when two pink lines came up right away. I was in such shock, shaking in the stall!! I left work early and went to get a blood test. Today the doctor called and my beta is 940 - more than double what they would expect it to be at this stage. So it truly is not over until your period shows...I always hated it when people said that, but I am living proof that it is true! I hope that helps some people in the tww - don't get too down if you test early and it's a BFN.

I had three follicles over 20mm and my husband had 32 million sperm, 80 percent motility. This was our fifth iui - all failed cycles before.

Symptoms by day

0-4 - nothing
Day 4 - tugging sensation in my labia at night (very strange, I know)
Day 7 and 8 - very low period cramps and my nose begins to run a lot
Day 9 - a little breakout on my chin - runny nose continues
Day 10 - I notice my boobs are bigger but they are usually quite sore now bc of AF.
Day 11-14 - really nothing of note - some AF like cramps on and off, still runny nose
Day 15-18 - more AF cramps..where is my period??
Morning of day 18 - BFP

That's the extent of my symptoms - nothing that noteworthy. I thought I'd be feeling "pregnant" but I still don't!

Wishing the best of luck and baby dust to all!!!

BFP over 40 after 2nd IUI!

Attempted medicated IUI in December but didn't work. Waited a month and tried again in February. Medicated with flash protocol to stimulate ovulation. Used frozen donor sperm.

Feb 12 (early AM) Trigger Shot
Feb 12 (afternoon) IUI
I really had no symptoms other than some light cramping and slight nausea which I assumed was caused by the progesterone. In fact, I had way more pregnancy symptoms with the first IUI and that ended up not working. The only other strange symptom was about 12-13 DPO I had incredibly horrible sinus issues. I've never had those before. I was getting terrible sinus headaches and my nose was so stuffy I couldn't breathe. In fact, I had made an appointment with the doctor to find out what the heck was going on!

Started using the Wondfos about 1 week after IUI. Every AM I used and got a HUGE negative. Not even the faintest hint of a line. Not even an evaporation line! I just knew that this IUI didn't work and was already preparing myself for IUI #3, adoption or simply moving on because of my age (I recently turned 43). I felt no real symptoms other than slight cramping during almost the entire 2ww.

Feb 25 (13 DPO) I started feeling horrible cramping. Like pre-period cramping but even stronger. And I knew then, based on the Wondfos and my cramping that I was going to get my period any day. I was scheduled to get a beta-HCG test at my ER's office the next AM but honestly thought there was no reason to go - that's how absolutely certain that I was that I was not pregnant. But something in the back of my head told me to go...so I did the next AM.

Feb 26 (14DPO). Went to get beta HCG test. Didn't think much of it. By mid afternoon my nurse left 2 messages for me to call her back and I just didn't want to. Didn't want to hear the no. I actually called the office back and told them to leave a message for her to just leave the results on my voicemail - I just seriously didn't want to hear "no". But at 4:30pm, the nurse called from her personal mobile to have me call her back on her personal mobile - no matter what. So then I got nervous/worried. Not only is there a "no", but what else awful did they find?

Imagine my surprise when she said "I have great news!" Even at this point, I couldn't possibly imagine how she could spin a negative pregnancy test into "Great news". She continued: "You are pregnant! Your HGC is 144!". The rest of the next couple of minutes was a blur. I remember sputtering out something like "that can't be possible. I'm cramping. I'm going to get my period any day now!" And she said - "No you are pregnant. We want you to come in for another beta and a preliminary scan next week!"

Needless to say the first thing I did was run out and get a First Response test. Even though it was nearly 5pm and it wasn't the first morning urine I had to pee on that stick! And I did. And almost immediately those two lines popped up. The first line was slightly a little lighter than the 2nd, but by the next day they were strong and equal!

Being 43, I know that there is a long road ahead before I consider the pregnancy viable, so I'm taking it day by day. I have a child (naturally conceived) and also have experienced a chemical pregnancy, so I'm taking it milestone to milestone. First I wanted to see the sac, then the yolk, then the heartbeat, then getting the CVS testing done to make sure everything is ok. Only then will I actually be able to breathe a sigh of relief and believe that I'm actually pregnant with a viable pregnancy.

For those who love stats, here's what's been happening since then:

14 DPO POSITIVE beta HCG test. HCG 144
19 DPO HCG 2137 (very high for only 5 days after 1st draw!)
Had first scan. Saw Gestational Sac and yolk sac- only one.
20 DPO HCG 4390 (doubled in only 1 day!)
30 DPO HCG 30,699
Had second scan. Gestational sac/yolk sac is larger. Saw the very beginnings of fetal pole.

The only question/concern is why the beta is so high. At first I feared molar pregnancy, but after two scans, the gestational sac looks normal and is growing normally. There is also no indication that there is a second pregnancy in there. So I guess my HGC is just really super high. At least the numbers are going up!

I will have another scan on Friday (37 DPO) to check for a heartbeat. Thinking good thoughts!!!!

Good luck to those out there who are over 40 and trying to conceive. Honestly, if it can happen to me it can happen to anyone!

Here is my story. I have stalked this site for about 4 months. Looking for a story like my situation. Hubby and I are both 34, married for 10 years together for 18 years. I have PCOS, diabetes, GERD, and a fast heart rate. Hubby has low T and very low drive. We have tried naturally for years and thought it would just happen. Finally on my 34th birthday I was at the OBGYN and she said she would recommend me to see a fertility specialist(she said with your husband’s count it would be a miracle if you conceived alone). I called the nearest clinic and made an appointment. Through all the tests they found out I had three large fibroid tumors on my uterus and they were close to where the baby would implant. I decided to have surgery right away. In October 2013 I had the surgery and was very pleased with the results. My period went from a max of 7 days to 5 or 4. Win win! Then in November we started our first fertility cycle. The doctor recommended Letrozole with iui.
#1 Letrozole 5mg 2 follies sperm 5 million post wash BFN
#2 Letrozole 5mg 2 follies sperm 5.4 million post wash BFN
#3 Letrozole 7.5mg 3 follies sperm 7.5 million post wash BFN
#4 Injectable 75 Menopur 100 Follistim 3 follies sperm 1.4 post wash BFN
#5 Injectable 150 Menopure 150 Follisitm 7-8 follies sperm 4.9 million (with two collections)
Pregnant! My first beta was 58.9 12DPO. I am so thrilled. We didn’t think we would be able to conceive without IVF.
I have felt so lost during this process, been through surgery, poked with needles, taking all kinds of medicine and it is all worth it. The first few months I researched every symptom thinking this was my month and the last two cycles I have come to peace that the meds cause many many symptoms in us. I just tried to look for the positive stories and cross my fingers this was my month. I am still in utter shock but feel very blessed. This will be the first grandchild and everyone is so happy. I pray for a healthy baby. Good luck to each of you reading this story and remember there are millions of ladies out there struggling every month with infertility. Just keep your head above water and wait for your month. Baby dust to you all.

OMG - in complete shock!

Hello ladies,

I can't believe I'm actually writing this post as I've been lurking on various sites for almost 4 years reading other ladies' stories and now I can finally share mine. My husband (40) and I (34) have been TTC for almost 4 years now. I got pregnant very early on but it was chemical and so the month after month of trying started. Finally we went for some private health advice and founf out that I had a low AMH. Hubby was perfect so that was at least a blessing. We started with IUI and the first one didn't take. The doc said he would allow me to do one more IUI before moving on to IVF but that was it...it would be IVF next. First cycle of IUI, I reacted really well to the meds but BFN all the same. Second cycle of IUI I developed a cyst and only had 1 other good follicle so expectations were super low. I in fact have been convinced for the past week that it was a BFN. This morning, I did a FRER and OMG - it was positive. Followed it up with a digital which says I'm Pregnant at 1-2 weeks. Today is 12 dpiui.

Ladies, I was a crazy symptom checker and was 100% convinced I was out this month...maybe tmi but.....I had no cm, sore boobs only like every cycle on and off and NOTHING else to give me the slightest clue I might get a BFP. I honestly now completely believe that trying to check for symptoms is just completely useless and drives us nuts while trying to figure things out.

If I can get a BFP, I really believe anyone can - good luck ladies, I hope this helps someone out there. I know reading other success stories really helped me out when I was lurking for month after month.

I constantly visit this site to hear all the wonderful stories. Well now it's my time to share to give hope to someone else! I have been trying to get pregnant for 5 years! FIVE! And nothing. DH has son 4 year old from previous relationship. So I thought I was the problem, my cycles are normally 24-26 days. In November, we finally sought out fertility help. Doc didn't tell me much just gave us options to get pregnant fast. He wanted us to go straight to IUI but DH though we should try naturally. Here goes my story:

Nov- femara 3-7, oviderel, BD -BFN
Dec- femara 3-7, ovdrel, BD- BFN
Jan- DH out of town- skipped this month- I was so disappointed
Feb- IUI #1, femara 3-7, ovidrel, IUI #1, 3 follies, post wash count 4 mil 30% motilitiy-BFN....BUMMER! Starting to think it would never happen :(
March- IUI #2, femara 3-7, follitism injectables, metformin AND ovidrel, oh and DH put on some pill forgot the name...post wash count bumped up to 4.5 mil 30% only, 4 follies :( totally thought this would be a bust until.....

IUI on 3/13/14
for 3 days after IUI cramping didn't have this with first IUI
4-6 dpo start thinking im out this month because I had tingling prickling senstations in breasts, my PMS symptoms
7 dpo mild mild cramping
8 dpo- a stabbing throbbing noticeble discomfort on right side, this was different, not like the stabbing pain you hear about on blogs, painful and discomforting but not bend over painful (I believe this was my implantation)--lasted for minutes, fatigue, everytime I woke up I felt drowsy, took naps which I never do
9dpo- went to wedding had to weak alcoholic beverages and hungover the next day...weird for me, fatigue, more napping
10po- forehead broke out like crazy, don't get me wrong I ususally have acne breakouts but on my cheeks NOT my forehead, didn't think anything of it, fatigue, more napping
11dpo-throbbing pain again, queasy but think nothing of it, fatigue
12dpo- bloated
13dpo-BFP!!!!! through blood test, don't know numbers but told they were good. I almost fainted! But I was sitting down ;) It was funny blood drawn is trauma for me because I always end up being poked a thousand times, this time was no different but nurse joked "after all these pokes it better be positive, it will be positive"
14dpo- still tingling breast, a little queasy, headache that would not go away

another symptom throughout my wait was belching and frequent bowel movements, I am usually constipated but anything I ate made its way out (TMI), remember everyone is different I was expecting big boobs, sore boobs, everything read on these sites lol still telling nurse how my boobs feel normal lol

Don't lose hope ladies, keep faith, and try not to stress. This cycle I noticed many things different with my body but I didn't look into everything because I wanted to be calm and know how our bodies can play tricks, now that I am pregnant I look back at the symptoms and a lot makes since. Oh and sometimes less is more, one thing I like about my doc is he tells me what I should do without all the numbers and downplays a lot. I think that kept me from stressing about how big my follies should be and so on. Don't pay attention to statistics or anything (4 mil post wash was not good :( but I still got BFP) , keep faith and let God have the final say, he has a plan for you.

Good luck everyone! Hope it helps! Your BFP is right around the corner! God bless! :) :) :)

Overwhelmed With Joy!!

This was my 5th attempt with IUI using donor sperm. I was inseminated on 3/16/14. For the next 12 days I experienced absolutely no symptoms and had began to feel like it was another failed attempt. The last two days I experienced minor cramping which I assumed were attributed to the onset of my AF. After balling my eyes out on the morning of 13 dpo, later in the evening I noticed my breast were beginning to feel sensitive and tingly. I still assumed maybe it was my AF (although I never had experienced this prior). To my surprise after taking a HPT this morning, I got a BFP!! I was overwhelmed with joy!! I had a doctors appt a few hours later to confirm via the BHCG and finally my prayer was answered!! To those who may have been in a similar situation, remain hopeful and positive!!! Baby dust to you all!!! :)

I had read stories on this website for almost a year, and told myself if I ever got a BFP I would share. Reading of others successes gave me a lot of hope!

After almost a year of not trying/not, not trying I decided to start tracking ovulation. After 3 months we got pregnant, but that ended in a chemical pregnancy. My doctor reassured me that "this happens" and nothing to worry about going forward. After 9 more months of no success, and hours of my own research I was convinced I had endometriosis. My doctor essentially said I was simply just too stressed and needed to "just relax". At this point I decided to start accupuncture and see a fertility specialist ( who also didn't think I had endo). We tried Clomid with IUI with no success, so at this point I really pushed for the laparoscopy to check for endo. After essentially begging, he agreed for the surgery. Well, it turned out I had Stage 2 endometriosis with an endometrioma in my left ovary. It was removed on October 9, and then on November 29, the next month, we got our BFP!! That November, I continued with Clomid and IUI, accupuncture and ate pinneapple the 5 days after IUI. We are now 22 weeks pregnant with a little girl on the way!

Moral of the story, always follow your instincts, do your research and never give up hope!

BFP 2nd IUI (first month on Clomid/Ovidrel) after 11 months TCC

After 9 months of trying my OBGYN tested me (27) and my husband (29) for fertility issues. It came back that I was normal but my husband has a low sperm count (20mil) and slow swimmers. We were then sent to a fertility specialist. After the 1st month of a natural IUI (no medicine) was not a success we started our first month of 50mg of Clomid with the Ovidrel shot to increase the odds of the sperm finding atleast one egg. I responded well the the Clomid and had 3 follicles. The day of the IUI my husbands count was 76mil after they washed out all the bad!! 10 days later I got a faint positive on a dollar store test and a positive on a digital. I had no symptoms until the day after my positive test and that was sore breasts and a tired almost hungover feeling. My Dr did HCG bloodwork and it went from 34 (11dpiui) to 84 (13dpiui) which is doubling every 36 hours. I go for more bloodwork tomorrow and then a 6 week ultrasound the following week...could there be more than one?! Praying for a heartbeat and healthy baby!

I want to incourage anyone who stalks this website like I did that your day will come. Everyone says it.. and its easier said than done, but try to relax. The only thing we did different this month was my husband took GNC Men's Fertility Vitamins and we took a week long vacation to Vegas where I relaxed, drank, and keep my mind away from symptom spotting! Best of luck to you ladies!!

BFP after 11 IUIs

My partner and I had a beautiful baby girl after the first IUI attempt in 2012. We began working on baby number 2 when she was 6 months old. The first pregnancy was so easy I didn't think twice about it, but this time was a whole different ballgame. I was told I was perfectly healthy and just to keep trying… but I must admit that I was losing the faith after 10 unsuccessful IUIs.

Two of the rounds I took Femara and made 2 to 3 eggs, one round I took Femara I ovulated before the mid-cycle ultrasound. I had to skip a month due to a death in the family.

Last month, I went for the mid-cycle and I had 2 mature follicles (20 & 21 in size) with no fertility drugs at all. I got a bfp on day 10 post IUI!!!! I went to the doctor yesterday and my beta is 155.4. I go back on Thursday for a second beta.
I have had no real symptoms to mention.
Hang in there - to every woman who stalks this website in hopes of her day to write a post like this!

23 months IUI #1

Dh & I(both 25) had been TTC for 23 months. In that time we had one miscarriage on our first month on clomid. DX with unexplained infertility. This cycle we started out with clomid (150 mg on cd 4 and 5, then backing it down to 100mg on cd 6, 7, and 8) with the intention of doing an IUI if everything looked ok. Our first ultrasound my lining was thin(5.6mm), and I had four follicle, two on the left at 18.5, and two on the right at 14. Because of our age, our RE would not IUI if we had four follicles, so she told us to come back in three days, and hopefully my lining would fluff up and a follicle would drop off. I went back in on cd14 for my follow up follicle scan really worried I had already ovulated. I hadn't. but the two follicles on the right had dropped off, and my lining was a fluffy 7.3mm. We triggered that night at 10 pm and bd'd just to cover our bases. We had our IUI cd16 at 10am. We didn't get the exact motility or morphology, but our count was 83 million with "lots of fast swimmers" according to our RE. She inseminated and that was that.

1dpo-a little crampy, probably from the IUI.
2dpo-cramps dissipating.
3dpo-nothing of note
4dpo-nothing of note
5dpo-tired. took a nap that afternoon.
6dpo- nothing of note
7dpo- sharp intense stabbing like pain in uterus area that lasted for under two minutes.
8dpo-nothing of note
9dpo-tested, faintest positive I have ever seen. I wasn't certain if this would be left over trigger or not.
10dpo- darker positive, round ligament pains
11dpo- Positive beta @ 53. Round ligament pains, constipation, nausea.
12dpo- darker positive, Round ligament pains, constipation, nausea.
13dpo- Beta draw to check for doubling. RE said they wanted to see 70-80, we got 109! We are pregnant. Round ligament pains, constipation, nausea, fatigue.
14dpo- Dark as control on FRER. Round ligament pains, constipation, nausea if I don't eat as soon as I'm hungry, fatigue.

Med's I was on this cycle: Metformin, Prenatals, Folic Acid, Baby aspirin. Clomid cd4-8(split dose between 150 &100mg), estrogen matches (.05 & .0375) cd5-14. HCG trigger 5000 units cd14. Progesterone suppositories(200) 2dpo on.
